Senior Android Engineer - Lead Mobile Design & Delivery

Job Description

• Lead design and development of advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Drive architecture decisions using MVVM and Clean Architecture principles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features
• Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs (e.g., Retrofit)
• Ensure robustness through comprehensive unit testing and best practices
• Optimize app performance, fix bugs, and improve reliability
• Contribute to and lead code reviews and continuous development process improvements
• Participate across the full development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment
• Work within Agile/Scrum environments to deliver high-quality releases

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of Android development experience with at least one published app
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Solid experience with Android SDK and REST/JSON-based integrations
• Hands-on experience with Retrofit and third-party library integration
• Deep understanding of MVVM and Clean Architecture
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of mobile development lifecycle and trends
• Business-level English proficiency (e.g., TOEIC 800+)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with push notifications and cloud messaging APIs
• Understanding of Android design guidelines and UI best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Leadership or project management experience
• Ability to work independently in a multinational team environment
